How To Stop Feeling Overwhelmed All The Time And Press The Destress Button 

Hey everyone, Trish Davies here from TrishDaviesInternational.com. Are you feeling overwhelmed all the time? I’m going to share with you some tips on how you can overcome that feeling of being overwhelmed.

Today I’ve been feeling incredibly overwhelmed. I’ve got this so much going on at the moment. Big decisions are being made. It’s really important for me to have strategies in place to ensure that that I combat that overwhelm.

That overwhelm can be crippling sometimes to the point that I am feeling overwhelmed all the time. Is this something that you can relate to? If so, then stay with me right to the end of this post as I am going to share some tips on how to beat the overwhelm.

How To Stop Feeling Overwhelmed All The Time

Tip number one is meditation which is the first thing I did today to combat the feeling of being overwhelmed. Especially with a big move at the moment. I’ve got a move that’s happening in the middle of Covid-19 right now.

An interstate move that involves me going from New South Wales and moving down to Tasmania which is two states away. I won’t be flying in, I’ll actually be driving, and all my furniture will be going down there as well. This requires quite a lot of coordination and a lot of logistical organising to ensure that everything happens in the right sequence.

At the same I’m running two international businesses and a local business on top of that. Coordinating a move to be closer to my parents, closer to my family takes a lot of organising. A lot of organisational skills which causes a lot of overwhelm as well.

So today the first thing I did this morning was meditated. I have been meditating now consistently for at least three years and it’s a very powerful process to overcome challenges. Meditation helps combat that feeling of overwhelm as it allows you to get some inner peace.

Meditation also you to tap into another source. That is a source of infinite wisdom that can help you to move forward with any sort of challenges any sort. Any obstacles or hurdles that you’re currently facing.

Meditation is my go-to place. I think it’s a really powerful process. So powerful in fact that I’ve actually started to create my own meditation videos. Meditation videos which you view on my YouTube channel by clicking here. So, meditation is the first tip that I would recommend to anyone that’s feeling this way.

Look After Yourself Physically

My second tip is always having a healthy breakfast and a very good breakfast. Every morning I juice, actually it is more like Nutra blasting. I do that every single morning. I put small amounts of fruit along with green leafy vegetables into a blender.

Along with half to a whole Lemon. Not just the squeeze of a lemon as I just peel it and then put it into the blender. Honestly it boosts my immune system. I love it as I can just feel the cells in my body start to tingle once I have that juice every single day.

Therefore, your body starts to hang out for it. If I miss it a couple of days, I really know it, my body feels it. It’s very important to stay balanced and to have a very healthy breakfast. Try and knock out some of that caffeine or those energy drinks. I have not been drinking caffeine, I’ve been drinking decaf coffee So decaf coffee for me and I will have one of those a day along with herbal tea.

So, I think that’s another contributing thing that can actually help you to calm those no nerves. To help you to overcome that that overwhelmed that you might get especially now in these times.

Get Back To Nature To Stop Feeling Overwhelmed All The Time 

Another tip that I have is to come down to nature. To get your feet in the sand or get your feet in the water and to just experience or feeling of nature. Go for those walks, those nature walks either in the park or go to your favourite space. It’s another beautiful way of just getting outside of your head and getting out of that overwhelm. Just taking a breath of fresh air!

Especially with Covid-19 and being locked up inside, it’s nice just to get out of the house. Sometimes it is not a nice place, feeling bogged down, feeling that overwhelm overcome you. So, get outside, take in that fresh air, and recharge your mind and body.

Find A Buddy

As a result of feeling bogged down or stuck in you just don’t take action, or you just don’t get things done. A tip for that overwhelm and for for getting yourself out of that is to find a buddy.

I have a coach that I can talk to about particular circumstances that are going on around me. It’s a way of just cutting the cut the fat as they say. Stripping back and just making sure that you get to the very core of what it is that you need to do.  It allows you to get focused on the most important things that need to be accomplished for that week or for that day.

Having a coach, having someone that you can talk to is a brilliant way to combat overwhelm. You will get honest responses; honest feedback and it is like having a sounding board to reassure you that you are not alone.

Just Get Stuck In 

Taking action is an incredible thing to get you past that overwhelm. I know that I can wake up in the mornings and just even turning on my computer can bring up some anxiety. That’s because of the amount of stuff that I’ve got to do.

Sometimes just getting stuck into the action part starts to combat that overwhelm.  Especially taking action on those things that you enjoy doing. For me, for my international business, more than anything I love to do is edit my videos.

Turning on the camera initially can be quite challenging or me even with my experience. However, that part is necessary because when you are building an online busines you must find your voice. You must find your voice relating to how you can help your audience through your products and services.

So that can be incredibly challenging and sometimes overwhelming as well. That’s because you know what you’ve got to get done. You know that you’ve got to create a message. You put pressure on yourself to create that message to get the work done. Then that can lead to even procrastination.

However, if you can get into part of the process that is the creative space. The part that you really enjoy doing, the part that you love, all of a sudden it takes you out of that overwhelm.

It puts you into action, it puts you into inspired action, inspired thought which makes you automatically feel better.
