Acceptance And Letting Go To Start A New Chapter In My Life
Sometimes in life you must take on a new chapter in your life however emotionally draining that is therefore there is a sense of acceptance and letting go to move forward.
Hi Trish Davies, here from TrishDaviesInternational.com. To say the last 20 years has been an emotional rollercoaster is somewhat on an understatement. Within the last two decades I have managed to overcome personal tragedy with the loss of my husband.
Raising my daughter as a single mother, learning new skills to support us both and then embarking on an entrepreneurial journey. That journey has seen me build a financial firewall around myself and my daughter Emily.
That financial firewall has be created through real estate investing along with being a coach and trainer. Add into the mix creating digital businesses and my own products and services it has certainly been an exciting ride.
Now I have come to a pivotal point in my life. My daughter is all grown up and has her own life and I am immensely proud of her and we are soul mates. My parents live in another state and as with life they are aging so I have made a life changing decision.
That is to move inter state and be nearer them so I can help them more when they need it. This has been one of the hardest decisions I have made but it is set in stone. The removal company has packed up my belongings, the car is full to the roof and I am now on the final leg of the journey to start the next chapter of my life.
Acceptance And Letting Go
I am on a boat from Melbourne to Tasmania and just before I left my house for the last time, I shot a quick video. The context of the video is all about acceptance and letting go. So, I just wanted to share it with you so you can understand more about the reasoning behind the decision and the emotions I have been going through.
I am sure that you can resonate with some of the emotional challenges I have been going through. There will have been times in your life where you have faced similar feelings although for different circumstances. The point I am making is that there comes a time for acceptance and letting go, however hard that may be.
I am very decisive, and I stick to those decisions and I hope that this video has given you the strength to take those hard decisions. There is a saying, “when one door shuts another opens” which is totally true.
I am excited about the future because there will be many opportunities open up for me. Some will appear out of nowhere and some I will create for myself like I have over the last 20 years.
You can do the same! Share with me some of your experiences in the comment box below. Also check out my Facebook page as there is more to this story before I packed up my house. There will also be more about my journey down to Tasmania and how my new chapter evolves.
A life of freedom and choice
