Brand authority is one of the pillars for a successful business both online and offline but how do you create that? Before I address that I just want to mention the other two pillars that I feel make up the holy trinity so to speak. They are authenticity and audience and I am going to explain why all three sit at the top table.

So, let’s start with brand authority which is what you need to be striving for in your business. For example, if you want to find something out what do you do? Simple answer is that you “Google” it. Now before you say there are other search engines the fact is that Google is the daddy of them all.

That brand authority has built up over the last twenty years from something that started out to checked backlinks. They used this data to check the importance of people’s websites and now as they say the rest is history.

Their authenticity stems from their humble beginnings in a garage in California. If you research them, you will see how they have grown to what they are now. Google analyses everything that goes on their search engine. If they don’t like what they see, then they give people the good old “Google Slap” and ban them.

Which brings us on to their audience. Because they have built up the first two pillars their audience comes to them. When someone goes onto the internet they are attracted to Google because they know, like and trust them.

Those three small words are the most powerful things that you as a business owner can have in your business.

This principle is not unique to Google. If you look at the likes of Apple, Amazon, Facebook and brands such as Virgin you will notice a common trend. They all started small in places such as basements or bedrooms where the idea was sown. Then they worked hard to bring that idea and dream to fruition and the mission was to serve people. To give those people the best experience so they come back time after time and overlook the competition.

First things first as I am mum who over the last twenty years has realised the importance of these three pillars. I have built up a successful real estate investment business which has evolved into me coaching others to do the same.

I also have online businesses along with being a public speaker, presenter, trainer, author, influencer and communicator. All of this over the last two decades of which I am immensely proud of.

None of this would have happened if I hadn’t realised the importance of authenticity, authority and having that audience. I am a firm believer that everyone has massive potential within them, but the trouble is they don’t realise it.

So, for you as an individual or business owner the first thing you need to do is identify your story. Once you do you can them communicate it to everyone that you meet. This could be work colleagues, team members, employees you may have and ultimately your customers.

This will help you build your own AU as I like to refer to it. Once your AU has been created then people looking at you from the outside will identify everything that is great about you. This includes all your talents and gifts and once they know your story, they will understand your true authority. Not only that as they will recognise you have built that authority with true authenticity. That is the holy grail!

The inspiration for creating this mastermind program was a conversation I had one day with a lady. Within this conversation she opened up to me and shared her story which she had only done with a few people before.

She only did this after she had heard my story and that gave her the strength to share hers.
