What does get up, dress up, show up mean exactly?

It can mean different things to different people.

For me, it means to be ready for anything, including all the good things that happen along our life’s journey and all the bumps in the road as well.

A lot of the time we try to anticipate all the hurdles that might appear on our path which is totally the wrong way to be thinking. Instead we should be anticipating a clear road ahead and be prepared to make decisions based on what is presenting to us at the time.

We tend to go about our daily lives doing all the things that we have to do, all the while thinking about all the things we want to be doing!

Trish and I have put all our focus on our business this year and we are reaping the benefits now.

We made a decision at the beginning of the year to ‘show up’ for our business this year. And we are so pleased we did.

You see, we did the preparation last year (the ‘get up’) and towards the end of last year we decided to ‘dress up’.

This involved making a decision to invest in our business so we could attend a personal branding workshop over 3 incredible days. This is where we were immersed in a process about identifying our personal brand, our business brand. Through this process we recognised why we make such amazing business partners – we share the same values. Our values are aligned! Even though we bring different skill sets to the partnership, we share similar visions and values.

This was a very powerful process. And one that every serious business owner needs to explore. Because without understanding your core values and your vision to move your business forward, there can be confusion and uncertainty.

Just recently, we made another decision to ‘show up’ again for our business and place ourselves and our business in the best possible place to expand and grow. We positioned ourselves and our business where we will benefit the most from the work we doing to get our message out in the world.

It just makes sense to ‘Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up’ for our business and ultimately for our life.

If you want to make the most of your business and don’t know where to start, get in contact with us and we will be happy to have a conversation with you.
