Is lack of money stopping you from using YouTube? Learn how to create content for YouTube that generates organic traffic for years to come!

Hi  Trish Davies, here, TrishDaviesInternational.com & BuildYourAU.com. Today I want talk about using YouTube for organic marketing. Specifically, how to create content for YouTube and the four stages to that process.

I wanted to share these tips because driving organic traffic to your offers from YouTube is powerful. When you regularly create video content for YouTube it helps you generate and audience and then nurture them through providing value.

That value is your video content which delivers your message and solutions that people are looking for. One of your main objectives is to get people to subscribe to your channel and hit the notification bell.

By doing this you are building a list of subscribers on YouTube for free. This is your audience, people who are attracted to you and your business. People who will receive those notifications when you upload a new video to your channel.

I can’t encourage you enough to create your channel and then leverage it thorough publishing regular video content. I say this because I know the impact my YouTube channel has had on my business.

I have hundreds of subscribers, hundreds of videos that work for me 24/7. I generate leads from videos that I created years ago. Each video is like a brick in the wall to building my business and you could do the same.

If you are building your YouTube channel for organic marketing then here is how to create video content for YouTube.

How To Create Content For YouTube – 4 Stages To Generating Organic Traffic

The four stages to create video content for YouTube and build a list for free are as follows.

  • Keyword Research
  • Create A Customized Thumbnail
  • Uploading To YouTube
  • Having An End Screen

They are the four stages so let me break each stage down for you.

Keyword Research

Stage number one is to research. You must do the appropriate research around keywords that are relevant to your space. It’s always the first step and the first stage in that creating of video content. Researching those keywords allows you to position your video and create that video in appropriate way.

You do this by putting first a question within your video along with the answer or solution to the problem. That’s why it’s so critical to do that research first. Make sure you are researching within a space that is not overly competitive and has some reasonable amount of search.

You don’t want to be creating a video around something that nobody is searching for. So that’s why it’s really important to do that keyword research and to make a list of those content ideas within a book.

Once the research has been done you start creating the video. Now the process I go through is creating it within my Build Your AU members area. It’s creating a video within the group, which feels like a very safe place. This means doing a Facebook live.

It’s very comfortable, very authentic, delivering the content that you. Delivering content around the research that you have done around that problem or that question. Then going to Facebook and downloading that video. There is a certain structure which I’ll talk about another post that it makes it much easier for editing and then uploading.

To recap its research, create the video in a safe space, then download that from Facebook. Then you can then go forward and edit the video within iMovie as I do or any other video editing software.

Create A Customized Thumbnail

Step number two is all about creating a customized thumbnail. There is a program that I use called Cannava and It’s brilliant where you can create the type of artwork that you want.

It’s very important to make sure that you stand out within your competition. When somebody is searching for that keyword, they’re actually finding your video as a result of the thumbnail that you’ve created.

I always put some sort of emotional hook within that thumbnail. Parts of the keyword, but not necessarily the exact phrase. It’s the emotional hook that’s going to draw them in, so they click on your video to watch yours over others. So very important to create a custom.

Uploading To YouTube

The third stage of creating that content is then uploading to YouTube and more importantly optimizing that video. You must optimize the video, so you get found. Google & YouTube have algorithms so you must tell those algorithms where you want to be found. Where you want to be placed and positioned.

It’s very important to create a title around your keyword, create a description around your keywords. There’s certain elements as well that you have to put in that description so that you also rank and get found.

Also making sure that your video is part of a playlist. This means that at the end of your video, you get pitched or your videos get pitched to your audience again. This encourages your viewer to view your video over somebody else’s.

So, tags are important, title and description are important, being part of a playlist is important.

Having An End Screen

Stage number four, which very important to your video, is making sure that you have an end screen. Within my Build Your AU group I’ve actually created a standard template for an end screen. Also, I’ve got a video that matches that you can look at to actually create that end screen. You can use that as a bit of a template or create your own.
